Little Sprouts Early Childhood Center

Currently, we are working towards a September 8th open date. This is dependent on the licensing approval, which is in process but does have a long reviewal period.

While our goal is to accomodate all children in need of daycare, licensing requires us to maintain specific ratios of students per staff member. Because of this, we may have a waitlist for certain age groupings. Once you register, we will be open and transparent about our availability and timeline while working closely with you on providing the best care for your children.

We’ve thoughtfully set our tuition in agreement with local funding partners to help preserve and support the much-loved in-home daycares in our community. These smaller providers are an important part of the childcare landscape, and we want to ensure they remain sustainable alongside our center.

As a licensed daycare center, we operate under stricter state requirements—including detailed record-keeping, lower staff-to-child ratios, and rigorous building codes. Meeting these standards requires more resources, and our rates reflect the balance between maintaining those high-quality requirements and ensuring our teachers receive fair, livable wages.

As a non-profit, our goal is never profit for profit’s sake. Instead, we aim to keep tuition as low as possible while avoiding over-reliance on constant donations or grants. Any additional funds—whether from tuition, grants, or donations—are reinvested directly into the program to benefit the children and the dedicated staff who care for them every day.

The Enrollment Fee we charge is to cover the processing of all the various forms, agreements and other documentation that the State requires. Once a child is enrolled, they qualify for regular care (part-time or full-time) or drop-in status. We cannot care for a child without the proper documentation on file.

Yes! As a state-certified program, tuition qualifies for financial aid through the South Dakota Department of Social Services. More information can be found at the website below, or you may reach out to our staff to assist in the process.
